East Africa Portland Cement Co   (EAPCC) is planning a KES30.53bn (US$200m) clinker line in Kajiado county, Kenya. Bamburi Cement is building two solar photovoltaic power plants, which will provide up to 30 per cent of the cement producer’s total power requirement. Kenya-based Karsan Ramji and Sons , which produces Ndovu Cement, has signed a 20-year deal with the country’s state-owned geothermal developer Geothermal Development Company (GDC).
