Grinding for western India
Earlier this year, UltraTech Cement, part of the Aditya Birla Group, commissioned a new 1.6Mta grinding unit at its Hotgi cement works in Maharashtra, India. The new state-of-the-art facility is equipped with an energy-efficient roller press, combined with a closed-circuit ball mill, designed to meet the growing needs of the western Indian market. UltraTech Cement’s new cement grinding unit at its Hotgi cement works was commissioned in March 2013. Clinker is supplied from UltraTech’s Rajashree cement plant (Line IV) in Karnataka and finished product is transported by rail to the Pune bulk terminal.
