A new inland cement terminal, operated by Ciments Calcia (Italcementi Group), was launched last year to serve the fast-growing Brunesau market of eastern Paris, France. Located in a busy urban area, the terminal design had to take into account key considerations, including efficient discharge and dispatch, strict environmental regulations and aesthetic integration. The new cement distribution centre was launched in July 2014 and is situated in Bruneseau on the Boulevard Périphérique, a dual-carriageway ring road in Paris. The terminal was built by local public development company Semapa, and is operated by Ciments Calcia, part of the Italcementi Group.
