Understanding roles and responsibilities is the first step in effective human resource management

The primary topics for the Technical Forum are the technical aspects of manufacturing cement, the operating specifics and requirements of cement factories and the equipment found in cement plants. However, we can lose sight of the fact that those production facilities require people to operate and maintain them – people who need to be managed. The experience of the moderator is that a solution can be found to most technical issues arising in a cement plant. However, if there are issues with the human resources-related aspects of the organisation and management of a cement plant, these can be more difficult to solve.
