Union Cement tour

Preheater tower at UCC's

Ras Al Khaimah plant

Delegates attending Cemtech MEA 2017 in Dubai, UAE, had the opportunity to visit Union Cement Company’s plant in Ras Al Khaimah. The integrated plant boasts a production capacity of 4.8Mta cement and 4.5Mta clinker across four production lines, making it one of the largest cement producers in the Gulf region.

The tour gave delegates a chance to see production equipment on the largest scale, including a 10,000tpd clinker line, IKN pendulum cooler and extensive grinding capacity.

Operating four production lines, UCC provides a wide range of products from ordinary portland cement, low to high sulphate-resisting cements, and is the only oil well cement producer in the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to the domestic market, with its proximity to the Saqr Port, UCC is well positioned logistically to serve the markets in the Gulf, Middle East and East Africa.
