The Ritz Four Seasons Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal provided a stylish and elegant setting for this year’s 10th Cemtech Conference. More than 320 delegates from over 40 countries turned out to discuss the latest advances in the cement industry both in terms of technological developments and global market trends. And with the support of the progressively ambitious Portuguese cement industry, the conference proved to be an ideal meeting place for delegates to network and discuss some of the chief issues surrounding the global cement industry today.

Unwavering support was provided by both Cimpor and Secil who co-sponsored the three day meeting. And as Carlos Alves, CEO of Secil, took to the stage to provide the keynote address, he was met with a conference hall filled to capacity, demonstrating the value of this annual European event.
