Cemtech Prague - 16-19 September 2007 | The Hilton Prague Hotel
Download Programme
After an absence of 16 years, Cemtech Conferences and Exhibitions returned to Prague,
Czech Republic to rediscover the city's unique history and charm. The Hilton
Prague Hotel played host to this year¹s leading European cement meeting, between
16-19th September 2007, where some 350 delegates from 40 countries gathered for
the latest discussions under the theme of 'Advances in Technology & Management'.
A wide array of presentations covered recent technology advances. These included
a look at various aspects of alternative fuels usage, plant performance initiatives
and improvements, plus a practical guide to preheater modification. Improving profitability
and operational costs were given due attention as was a review of recent environmental
legislation and implications for the European cement sector.
A major 70 stand exhibition area gave some of the leading cement industry suppliers
the opportunity to showcase their latest advances and provided an additional platform
for delegates to network and create new alliances.
Proceedings were rounded off in true style with the final Gala dinner held at the
stunning Municipal House one of Prague's most prominent Art Nouveau building.
Delegates and their partners were entertained by a Brazilian drum troupe, the memorable
Bambino de Prague choir and then dined to the sounds of Hevalka's Melody Makers
an unforgettable night.
At the gala dinner, delegates were asked to vote on three possible venues for the
September 2008 Cemtech Europe meeting. High on the list were Amsterdam, followed
by Paris and Geneva. We shall now visit and sample all the top hotels in each of
the above cities to find the most suitable venue on your behalf. Its a tough job,
but someone has to do it!
Thanks to all who attended and helped to make this event one of our best.
