Cemtech Dubai - 25-28 February 2006 | Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Download Programme
The Cemtech Dubai Conference and Exhibition has concluded with over 260
participants from 45 countries in attendance with many voting this one of the
best Cemtech meetings in recent times.
The setting, in one of the most prestige conference and resort venues in Dubai
certainly helped, but the main reasons centred around a topical programme
including 25 presentations ranging around regional market developments as well
as more specific papers looking at a wide range of technical issues pertinent to
the manufacture and distribution of cement.
An exhibition area with 24 companies keen to promote a host of products and
services provided a timely focal point throughout the meeting, allowing
exhibitors and delegates the opportunity to network in the rather convivial
surroundings of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. ors and delegates the opportunity to network in the rather convivial

The excellent programme was also complemented by some rather special social
activities, with luncheons and evening receptions, culminating in a Gala Dinner
a themed Arabian spectacular sponsored by Star Cement, Dubai, at the
neighbouring Fort Island, the Jumeirah Madinat.
But still there was more to come with two separate trips: the first to the
Fujairah Cement works involving a two hour trip across the UAE to the Indian
Ocean coast and the second closer to Dubai at the nearby Jebel Ali grinding
facility, to be commissioned shortly. An especial thanks to Tapash Muckherjee of
Fujairah Cement and Karl Puetz of Enexco India (main suppliers/consultants) at
the new Jebel Ali grinding station.
Some of the attending wives and partners participated in a full day tour, to
explore the history, culture and the famed spice and gold souks of downtown
Dubai.
