Votorantim

Votorantim has secured approval for its planned new cement works at Cuiaba in the province of Mato Grosso. The new works should come on line in 2012 and have an annual cement capacity of 1.2Mt. The total Brazilian cement production in the twelve months to the end of October showed an increase of 13.5% to 57.9Mt, with Votorantim being by far the leading producer.
