Dangote Cement - July 2013


Dangote subsidiary Sephaku Cement has confirmed that its Delmas cement milling plant, which is currently under construction, will be completed in 4Q13 with production due to begin in January 2014. The 1.4Mta plant located in Mpumalanga is part of a ZAR3.2bn (US$322m) investment, which also includes a new clinker and cement works in Aganang in North West Province. The Aganang plant is due to start production in 2Q14 with the capacity to produce 1.9Mta of clinker and 1.2Mta of cement. Approximately 55 per cent of the clinker from Aganang will go to the Delmas plant for further processing.
