Delays in the awarding of government infrastructure projects have led to disappointing cement sales volumes in Indonesia, according to latest figures from the Indonesian Cement Association. June recorded sales of 4.8Mt, which although up 1.3 per cent compared to the previous month, is a 6.2 per cent fall from the same period last year. This brings the figure for 1H15 to 27.7Mt, a contraction of 4.2 per cent on the first half of 2014.
