According to figures released by PPC on behalf of South Africa’s eight leading cement producers, cement sales in the country in 1Q15 expanded to 2.87Mt, compared to 2.48Mt and 2.62Mt in 1Q14 and 1Q13, respectively. This year’s quarter had 63 selling days whereas 1Q14 had 62 and 1Q13 just 61.
