LafargeHolcim - March 2016


The LafargeHolcim subsidiary Bamburi Cement in Kenya increased its turnover by nine per cent to KES39,200m (EUR30m). After an investment income 7.2 per cent higher at KES374m (EUR3.3m) and the foreign exchange element swinging from a KES170m loss to a KES104m profit (EUR0.92m) profit, the pretax profit rose by some 46 per cent to KES8460m shillings (EUR74.8m) helped by good demand in Kenya and Uganda.
