Over the same period, EBITDA declined by nine per cent to IDR1683bn, which was blamed on slow demand and increased competition. Pretax profit, meanwhile, contracted by 17.2 per cent to IDR1243bn. Total cement sales for the quarter, including Vietnam, came in at 6.43Mt, down 1.3 per cent YoY. Domestic sales accounted for 5.93Mt, representing a fall of 2.8 per cent compared to 1Q15.
