Dangote Cement - April 2017


April has been a mixed month for Dangote Cement with birthday celebrations for Aliko Dangote marred by tragedies involving cement trucks owned by the company. Mr Dangote first honed his business skills at school, buying and selling sweets to make money. By 21 he had moved onto sugar, rice and cement, before venturing into manufacturing. Today he is worth an estimated US$12.5bn, is the richest person in Africa and the 67th richest person in the world, according to Forbes.
