KIln slippage and hot allignment

Hi I m Tanveer Baig I want to know the standard relative movement of kiln tyres and shell and how it can be hot alligned Tanveer Baig

Hello Tanveer. The relative movement depends on the diameter and ovality of the kiln. A few centimetres would be normal. Hot kiln alignment is achieved by adjusting the positions of the kiln rollers.

We consider 1 cm per hour as normalo range.

 Hi

      From experience the maximum permissible tyre slippage is about (D/200)mm, where D is the kiln diameter in mm.
