Re: Terminology

Dear Mr Gulam,

In this matter,  I think like wise why I am called as Soni or you called as Gulam?

Hope you will agree. Any expert comments from else one is most welcome and will be added knowledge.

Regards

R P Soni.

Re: Terminology

Because Swedish geologist and mineralogist Alfred Elis Törnebohm lacked imagination.

When he investigated the phases of Portland clinker in 1897, he named the crystal phases he found simply following the alphabet. The three major phases were given the names of "alite", "belite", "celite" and a minor phase was named felite.

Today, only "alite" and "belite" terms remain in common usage.
