White Cement Production

I would like to know more about the latest technologie in quenching/cooling and crushing of white cement clinker.

The latest technology from FLS uses a rotary cooler with water quenching at the inlet end and the steam generated being drawn out of the cooler co-current with the clinker.

Polysius use a “Twin-cooler” concept whereby initial quenching takes place in a rotary cooler before the clinker is delivered to a Polytrack cooler where heat is recovered for combustion air.

Thank you very much for your reply. These two systems are more or less known to me. I was told that there is something completely new now with a very high heat recovery bringing down the heat consumption considerably.
