I agree with Ted. I doubt if you would be able to detect any affect of small quantities of aragonite on the operation of a cement kiln. That is provided there are no other undesirable species associated with aragonite of course.

According to analyses the CaCO3 content in aragonite is higher than the calcite (almost pure). Because of the structural difference In laboratory we've applied the fineness test to the pure aragonite and calcite. The grinded pure aragonite has 15% normal limestone (calcite) has 14% residue at 90 micron sieve. That's another observation that I want to share with you.

I think we all agree that aragonite does not really have any effect on the kiln operation.
