flushing of kiln feed through preheater

we have a phenomenon of feed flushing through both the string, we could not grasped that from which cyclone the material is being flushed. It happened suddenly and all preheater cyclones pressures incease and after a sort of peak, pressure become normal and the material rushed into the cooler and ultimately we have to decrease the rpm and coolers flow to cotrol the operation.

In spite of all the  efforts and checking , we could not reach to any certain reason for the above problem.

Re: flushing of kiln feed through preheater

hello:mr asim as we know the problems from the commissioned so i thing there unbalance in the system . the duct from PH suction to mill must be open 100% as required to maintain the cyclones draft

Re: flushing of kiln feed through preheater

Yes, it always happens during commissioning! Even an instant power outage can trigger a quick flush, especially for short kilns. Flushings under normal conditions inside the kiln/preheater occur when the the main gas duct separating the mill and main filter fan is left closed whenever mill stops. It's just due to neglect, so best is just automate it to open when mill always stops, the same way the main filter fan or damper automatically controls the draft behind the preheater fan.
