Silica vs. Free CaO
Is there any correlation relating silica and free lime?..Is it safe to conclude that when silica is high free lime should be low?..and if silica is too high, is it safe to say that titration target should also be increased?

Re: Silica vs. Free CaO
We can not correlate silica with free lime.
There are three basic main indicators that will decide the burnability of raw mix. These are
2) Silica modulus
3) Alumina modulus
With all these values, you will be able to say whether the particular raw mix is easy to burn or hard burning material?
The free lime in the clinker is mainly depends on these quality parameters of raw mix but it is also controlled by continuous changing process conditions.
Just by correlating silica with free lime is not correct.
