CaSO4 regular testing in lab and lab ball mill design?
below I want to discuss two very common practices use by the cement plant for testing, but still we have lack of document to standarised it in all cement inductries ( mianly in indian context).
1.) We already know excess sulphure in clinker react with lime and make CaSo4 in clinker. high SO3 stablize the C2S for further react with CaO and make more C3S, it's impact the clinker strength.
" Can we have some testing mathod for "CaSO4" in clinker on regular basis so we can identified the % CaSO4 generation regularly and take action accordingly, which is help ful to improve our clinker quality.
2.) Every cement industries in Lab every day check the clinker one day strength by grind the clinker in lab ball mill.
I observe " every inductries has their own grinding metod for clinker in lab"
Like " Size of the ball mill not standard"
"Grinding Media pattern not standared"
"RPM of the grinding not fix"
"PSD of the product not fix"
plant only try to grind the material up to certain fineness (blaine) ~320 to 330 cm2/Gm
irrespective of any RPM any grinding media pattern
can any body sahre any standard procedure for desing the lab ball mill for indian standard prosedure (BIS)
same time testing prosedure also.
