BALL MILL POWER

DEAR EXPERTS

WE HAVE A BALL MILL IN COMBI MODE FOR CEMENT GRINDING . ROLLER PRESS BEFORE  THE BALL MILL.

THE SUPPLIER HAS GIVEN 28% GRINDING MEDIA FILLING , WITH SHAFT POWER 2270 KW ONLY. BALL MILL SIZE IS 4.4*11 M. GRINDING MEDIA SIZE IS MAX 30MM . IT IS A MONOCHAMBER MILL DESIGNED TO GRIND THE ROLLER PRESS PRODUCT.

IF WE CALCULATE THE SHAFT POWER WITH 28% FILLING IT COMES TO MORE THAN 2600 KW WITH 210 T GRINDING MEDIA.

ALSO 28% FILLING DO NOT CORRESPONDS TO 180 T MEDIA , IT IS MORE THAN 210 T.

SUPPLIER HAS GIVEN A BALL MILL MOTOR INSTALLED KW OF 2600 ONLY.

Dear Sir

I calculate by this only.

But the power calculated is more than 2600kw while the installed power by supplier is only 2600kw.

Please comment

Please send me the following data of your mill:

F Grinding media weight, tons
u Torque factor
n Mill speed, rpm
Deff Mill effective diameter, mts
a Arm of gravity, -

 You should also send me actual grinding media tonnage and mill main drive actual kWh consumed with the present media load

.
