Cement consumption in Vietnam has grown at a formidable 14 per cent over the last five years to 2006. Modernisation and expansion of the production base is proceeding at a rapid pace. Vietnam will become self-sufficient in cement production by 2010, with supply expected to reach 60Mt against demand of 50Mt.
