Vietnam likely to produce 48.9Mt of cement in 10 months

Cement producers in Vietnam are estimated to have made 48.9Mt of cement in the first 10 months of this year.

The figure represents an on-year rise of 8.8%, the government’s General Statistics Office said in its monthly report released Monday.

In October, the country’s cement output is estimated to have increased 7.2% from the same month of last year to 5.2Mt.

The Ministry of Construction forecast Vietnam’s cement consumption is forecast to stand between 54.5Mt and 56Mt this year, up 9%-10% from a year earlier.
