Zambezi Portland Cement increases production
Zambezi Portland Cement Limited (ZPC) has increased production of cement to 1300tpd from 1100tpd following the installation of new machinery and modification of other facilities at the plant.
ZPC managing director Antonio Ventriglia said the company has increased cement production to meet the increasing demand.
“We have increased production by another 10 per cent from 1100t to 1300t, this is also complemented with qualified staff,” he said.
The company will soon commission a US$2m new truck loading area and is in the process of installing new washing and screening plant to process the waste aggregate at the crusher plant. The firm has put up new warehouses for storage of raw materials.
Mr Ventriglia said the company will spend US$1m for pollution control equipment to adhere to laws under the Zambia Environmental and Management and Agency. Published under Cement News
