Holcim Portland Plant Receives EPA’s 2011 ENERGY STAR

Holcim announced today that its plant in Florence, CO has earned the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) prestigious ENERGY STAR®.

"Awards such as the EPA ENERGY STAR highlight Holcim’s dedication to protecting the environment," said Ricardo Vilchis, Holcim Portland plant manager. "Maintaining and driving this commitment is a priority that motivates all Holcim employees."

In addition to the Portland plant, three other Holcim plants were named: Ste. Genevieve in Bloomsdale, MO, the Holly Hill plant in Holly Hill, SC and Devil’s Slide in Morgan, UT. The Holly Hill and Ste. Genevieve plants received their second ENERGY STAR® and Devil’s Slide in Morgan, UT received its fourth consecutive award.

The ENERGY STAR® is the national symbol for protecting the environment through superior energy performance.
