Dangote in supply talks for new African projects

In a bid to consolidate its leadership position in the cement industry in Africa, Dangote Cement Plc is holding talks with AVIC/KHD on building new cement plants across some African countries.

The company, in a statement issued to THISDAY, said some of the countries are: Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria and Tanzania

"This time, the construction of the planned cement plants, are to be undertaken by a Chinese state owned consortium of AVIC International Beijing Company and German’s KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, renowned for their quality and timely process in the construction of cement manufacturing plant," the company said.
