Vietnam consumption at 31.65Mt

Vietnam’s cement consumption stood at 31.65Mt in the first eight months of this year.

In August, the country’s cement consumption was 3.41Mt in comparison with 3.45Mt in July, the Ministry of Construction said on its website Thursday.

The Southeast Asian nation cement production stood at 3.53Mt in August, raising the country’s total production in the first eight months to 31.96Mt, meeting 58.6% of the sector’s full-year target.

The country’s cement consumption is forecast to reach between 54.5Mt and 56Mt this year, up 9% and 10% on year, respectively.
