Geometrica achieves OHSAS 18001 Certification
31 August 2011

OHSAS 18001 is an international standard that provides a framework for managing and controlling health and safety risks in the workplace, aid in regulatory compliance, and improving safety performance.

Organizations that have an Occupational Health and Safety Management System are better able to meet regulatory requirements and to provide a healthy and safe work environment to their employees and third parties. OHSAS 18001:2007 has become the de-facto worldwide auditable standard for such systems. Given the prime importance of health and safety, socially responsible companies pursue certification.

Geometrica’s OHSMS, developed over the course of two years, has been audited by BSI and certified to comply with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007. Certification is only awarded to those companies that provide evidence of developing and implementing a culture centered on safety and health awareness and improvement, through procedures, programs and records of their safe activities.

Together with the ISO 9001:2008 certification already held by the company, this is yet another way Geometrica ensures that best practices are held and maintained throughout its projects.

Individually and as a company, Geometrica and its employees explicitly value ethics, safety, quality, learning and continuous improvement. This certification advances all of these values.
