New handysize cement vessel launched, Vietnam
Ben Kien Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd., an affiliate of Vinashin Business Group has launched a 16,800dwt cement vessel.
The ship, named Antigua, is among four 16,800 ton-cement ships that Ben Kien built for its Norwegian client, Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi, a major international shipowning company and specialist cement carrier.
The ship, 130m long, 23m wide and 13m high, is equipped with a 6480KW engine, was designed by the Shiptech Co., and meets all standards set by the Norway’s Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and the latest international maritime regulations. Published under Cement News
