Dangote improves transport fleet

The Dangote Group has recently acquired 5000 new trucks for the distribution of Dangote Cement.

Chairman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, explained: Dangote Cement is already taking delivery of 5000 trucks and 100 brand new bulk cement tankers to improve its distribution network across the nation," he said.

The new trucks and bulk cement tankers which will be deplored for the haulage of cement from its factories and various bagging plants, is expected to significantly reduce the time lag between production and delivery to distributors.

The new vehicles are part of measures introduced by the producer to reduce high transport costs, which are partly responsible for the increase in cement prices across the country.
