Zambezi Portland Cement’s profit share initiative, Zambia
Management of Zambezi Portland Cement (ZPC) in Zambia have agreed to share the benefits of increased production with its employees by giving them a total of ZMK100m (US$21,321).
ZPC public relations manager Kelvin Sampa said the increase in production was despite a brief plant shut-down during this month to facilitate maintenance works.
“The sum of K100 million was disbursed to the employees in this profit share initiative. In addition, management decided to award the employees a 30 percent advance payment on their April salaries to enable them celebrate Easter holiday,” he said.
