Holcim Romania, which should finalise EUR12m worth of investments in its Romanian factories in Alesd and Campulung cement plants, has joined the “Sustainable Energy Europe” campaign with the “Low Carbon Footprint Products” project. During this project, which will be finished in late 2011, new facilities will be installed in order to increase the waste co-processing capacity.

More than 300 projects were registered in the Production section of the “Sustainable Energy Europe” Campaign, with 70 of them coming from Romania.

Holcim Romania has two cement plants in Campulung and Alesd, and one grinding station in Turda, 19 ecological concrete stations, 5 aggregate plants and a cement terminal in Bucharest.
