JP Cement prepares to expand its Shahabad plant, India
JP Cement Corporation Ltd is set to undertake the expansion and upgrading of its plant at the industrial township of Shahabad in Chitapur state.
The plans include a switch from wet-process to dry-process technology and an increase in the production capacity from 0.5Mta to 6Mta with a 70MW captive power plant.
The company said that orders for dry-process technology machinery have already been placed and it is waiting the renewal of a mining licence.
