Spanish cement consumption in the past last 12 months (March 2010 to February 2011) decreased more than 3.3Mt, representing a fall of 11.95 per cent.



While cement consumption in February touched 1.8Mt (2.73% more than in February 2010), this is not being viewed as an indicator of economic improvement, but is attributed to better weather conditions in the first two months of 2011 compared to Jan-Feb 2010.


However, exports increased 40.51% in the last 12 months and imports imports fell 34.13% over the same period.
