Lehigh Cement Co plans to meet pollution control requirements
28 February 2011

Officials from Lehigh Cement Co say they are moving forward with plans to be in compliance with new air pollution requirements from the US Environmental Protection Agency, even though the requirements weren’t included in a permit renewal from the state, and it is possible Congress may limit the EPA’s ability to enforce the limits.

The new air pollution standards are set forth in the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants from the Portland Cement Manufacturing Industry and Standards of Performance for Portland Cement Plants, commonly referred to as NESHAP.
