Locals demand pollution data from Lafarge, Slovenia
10 February 2011

Locals from Zasavje, a region in central Slovenia are continuing their battle against Trbovlje-based LafargeCement plant, demanding air intake and pollution data since 2004. They believe that only detailed data will show clearly how severely the plant pollutes the air in the Sava valley SE
of Ljubljana.

Environmental group Eko krog, the Trbovlje civil initiative and the Zagorje ob Savi municipality called upon the president, the human rights ombudsman, the French ambassador and the environment and health ministers to demand from Lafarge Cement data on air pollution for the past seven years in a
letter on Wednesday.
