Cemex says never in talks with Murli Industries
Cemex said it was never in talks to acquire Murli Industries Ltd.’s cement plant in western India, a spokesman for the Mexican company said late Tuesday.
"Cemex is not and has not been involved in this transaction," Jorge Pérez said in an email.
Cemex was responding to a report in the DNA Money newspaper, which said that talks between the two companies had fallen through over valuations.
Cemex remains focused on reducing its debt, the spokesman said, without elaborating.
