Cementos Cosmos Toral in EUR1.8m investment, Spain
Cimpor’s Spanish cement factory in Toral de los Vados, is to benefit from a EUR1.8bn investment to improve environmental measures and transport logistics.
Cementos Cosmos will invest more than half that amount, around EUR1m will be put towards sustainability initiatives including improving emission control measures.
The company has been affected by the downturn in local cement demand, with sales down 25 per cent in the current fiscal compared to figures witnessed in 2008. Published under Cement News
