Lafarge India Eastern, which is a wholly owned arm of Lafarge India, has chalked out an ambitious plan to set up a 1.1Mta integrated cement plant at Nongkhleih in the limestone rich Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya at a staggering investment of INR1,000 crore. The cement project, which would be the biggest private sector investment in the north eastern region, is currently crossing various stages of clearances. Published under Cement News
