Holcim has announced that it has set a new goal to reduce CO2 emissions 25% by 2015, projects implemented as in the Nobsa plant, Boyacá, in which it invested more than US$100m.

20% of resources are allocated for the new milling line which reduces power consumption by almost 35%, the same as CO2 emissions and makes a significant contribution to noise mitigation technology. Victoria Eugenia Vargas , Director of Corporate Affairs, said that with these modifications the Nobsa plant "has become one of the most modern and eco-efficient in the production of cement in the country and a major Latin America."
