Lafarge extends deadline of Aquino Museum redesign competition
08 November 2010

Lafarge Cement Services (Philippines), Inc. has extended the deadline for the submission of letters of intent for the Aquino Museum Redesign Competition to November 12, 2010.

Organised by Lafarge on behalf of the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation, the contest aims to find the best design solution that will capture the impact of Ninoy and Cory on Philippine history. It is open to architects, interior designers, artists, curators, historians, social scientists and professionals from related fields. The core of bidding teams should be composed of three to five members, at least one of whom must be a licensed professional architect and/or interior designer.

Qualified participants will be invited to submit a creative and cost-efficient design scheme for the redevelopment of the Aquino Museum in Tarlac. Three finalists will be selected from the initial entries and given funding to fully develop their designs. The group with the winning entry may be awarded a design contract for the implementation of their proposal.
