Gulf Cement Company, based in Qatar, has announced it has selected Fujitsu Consulting for a company-wide SAP deployment.

The cement company, a subsidiary of the Alkhalij holding group, will roll out an end-to-end SAP solution to manage finance, production, distribution and human resources. The company will also look to integration of the system with various business functions related to the cement, business, including time card management, Truck Yard management, weight bridges and DCS integration for online information.
Fujitsu Consulting was chosen for the deployment because of its expertise in the cement vertical, Gulf Cement said, and Fujitsu will provide both best practice for cement solutions, and strategic guidance on future growth for the company. Fujitsu will also help develop a business intelligence dashboard, to provide business analytics to the company.
