Cimsa mulls new investment
01 November 2010

Cimsa is analysing investment conditions for a new cement factory in Macedonia. This was disclosed following a business meeting of Macedonian and Turkish businessmen held in Skopje on Thursday, arranged by the Macedonian Chambers of Commerce and the Cabinet of Minister without Portfolio Hadi Nezir.

Cimsa is one of the key investors looking into investment opportunities, according to Mr Nezir. Macedonia and Turkey, he added, nourish excellent political ties, but economic cooperation is not satisfactory and doesn’t meet the real potentials of both countries.

"Lobbying has been intensified in the past couple of years and benefits are being expected in terms of investments", said the minister. Trade exchange stands at US$300m, which is insignificant compared to Turkey’s economic potential, whose GDP is EUR800bn.
