India Cements launches operations in the north
Announcing its pan-India presence leading cement manufacturer India Cements today announced launch of its operations in North India.
The newly-commissioned Mahi Cement Plant, with a capacity of 1.5Mt in Rajasthan, also began dispatches to key Northern regions signaling the intent of the company to be a dominant national player, a company release here said.
The Mahi Cement plan would cater to the requirements from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. With the start of commercial production from Mahi, India Cements installed capacity touches the 16Mt mark.
India Cements, Head of Operations, P L Subramaniam said ’’we are indeed happy that we have begun pan India operations. We have achieved a great amount of success in the south and we seek to replicate the same in the other regions of the country’’, he added. Published under Cement News
