ACC Limited has received the LEED India NC Gold rating awarded for its headquarter building ’Cement House’ located in Mumbai, India.

The award was presented by Tony Arnel, Chair, World Green Building Council (WGBC) to ACC’s Adviser Corporate Affairs Mr. N A Mirza at a specially organized ceremony during the Annual Meet of Indian Green Building Council at The Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.

Cement House was the first project in the country to be registered under the criteria of major renovation of an existing building. The building has also received Five Star rating for being the most energy efficient in the category of energy efficient office buildings of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.

Cement House has therefore become a benchmark for making energy efficient workplaces especially in old buildings. Cement House also proves that green buildings do not necessarily have to be new structures.
