Iran cement production up 18%
Some 30.8Mt of cement have been produced in the first six months of current Iranian calendar year (ended September 22).
The amount shows 18 pe rcent increase in comparison to previous years’ figure, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported. During the Iranian Month of Shahrivar (August 23-September 22) some 5.6Mt of cement have been produced which is 23 per cent more than the same period previous year. Jovein Cement Factory, one of the largest cement producing units in Iran, officially came on stream in Khorasan Razavi province on Sunday. The factory has the capacity to produce 4000tpd of grey cement.
