Russia’s Sibirsky Cement output up 8% on year

Russian holding Sibirsky Cement increased cement output 8% on the year to 2.088Mt in January–August, a spokesperson for the company said Monday.

In August, Sibirsky Cement produced 415,099t of cement. No comparison was provided.
Cement sales amounted to 2.092Mt in January–August and 403,345t in August, the company said.

Founded in 2002, Sibirsky Cement, or Sibirskiy Cement, is based in the Kemerovo Region. The holding includes five cement plants in the Siberian Federal District.

In 2009, Sibirsky Cement produced 2.688Mt of cement in 2009, down 33.5% on the year.
