Nigeria’s Benue Cement Company said on Friday its half-year pretax profit had 
fallen two per cent to NGN9.48bn (US$63m), it said in a filing with the Nigerian
 Stock Exchange.


Turnover at Benue Cement, a unit of local conglomerate Dangote Group, fell to 
NGN18.88bn in the first half from NGN19.59bn in the same period a year ago, it
 said.


Benue said pretax profit in the first quarter was down 15.5 per cent at 
NGN4.52bn.
